A new university hospital 2015

The New Karolinska Solna is the largest project ever by the Stockholm County Council as well as being one of the largest and most innovative healthcare projects worldwide.

With approximatively it 350 000 sqm are, its is also the biggest BIM project in sweden ever do be done.

We are proud to work side by side with White arkitekter in this project. Supporting and handeling BIM-solutions and management i NKS.

The Stockholm arena

The Stockholm Arena is a sport and event arena with a total of 30,000 seats that is planned for completion and inauguration in December 2012. Monsén arkitektur is proud to assist White arkitekter with BIM management throughout this project.

VHC-Veterinär- och husdjurscentrum

Monsen arkitektur signed a BIM management contract with Nyrens arkitekter and is proud to participate in the VHC project

Veterinary and Pets Centre (VHC) covers about 50,000 square meters and will include educational and research facilities for Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science, and the facility of the UDS, the country’s only university veterinary hospitals.

737 Villlage – Flight Club

Jumbo Hostel gave us new ideas of development in the airplane accommodation field.

The 737 village is a example of some of our thoughts. Get yourself a couple of 737´s and stack them together to form a unique village. We suggest 6 rooms per plane, with full functions including bathroom, kitchen and sleeping facilitates for two. Reused the planes fixed to the ground or make a flyable version for yourself. The first flying hotel fleet ever.

These luxury villas in the Philippines where designed with the young and rich in mind. The 300 square meter villas are situated at the Bespoke Islands, and while being flexible and open, they retain the privacy and integrity demanded by the buyers of these houses.

Reborn 1923

Sometimes it is actuality possibly to go back in time. And at our assignment to recreate an 1920´s facade we had to research everything from colors to craftsmanship to its very core and soul. Moon Mine

The Moonmine is an odd but fantastic project. In an old mine outside of Nora we were commissioned to build a moon base demonstrating the different stages in building for a future colonization of the moon.

In parallell, a hostel is built, along with research fascilities suitable for housing reserarchers during extended periods of time. The assignment is the design of the visitors center above ground, and the moon base 110 meter below.

The Jumbo Hostel

Some projects are just unique. With the Jumbo Hostel project we were commissioned to turn a real life retired Jumbo Jet into a functional and stylish hostel. The concept of creating a retro-style 1970’s interior was developed in succesful collaboration with the entrepreneur Oscar Diös. The Jumbo Hostel is the only project of it’s kind in the world, and has turned in to a widely talked about endevour.

Häringe Slott, Vasa Flygel

In one of the buildings of Häringe Castle the client wanted to remodel 24 rooms into 13 suites where each had different unique concepts and interiors. Here are some examples:

The Tokyo Room is a double room of merely 13 square meters where everything is extremely high tech and where real time information from Tokyo is streamed to a screen in the room.

The Dog Room is exactly what it sounds like and includes special features like a dog minibar, a dog bed, a dog tub, and a dog tv. (not at display)

The Vinyl Room sports a DJ-theme with turntables, and a library of excellent records.
